Recap: 2nd Annual EPIC Group Art Show

November 5, 2021

This past week, EPIC Events hosted its 2nd Annual Group Art Show. This year, the show took place in Downtown Fargo at the new Gateway building by EPIC. With around 200 pieces from 90 artists, this year’s show was even larger than last year’s event which took place in West Fargo at The Lights.

EPIC Events has been working on enhancing art & entertainment in the community and with the buildings that EPIC has built across the region it creates a unique opportunity to host pop-up events, like this art show and give people a chance to interact with the space before its leased to a commercial tenant. With using a newly constructed space not yet outfitted for commercial tenants, it allows us to utilize the uninterrupted wall space to showcase a large amount of work created by area artists, of all levels.

The show atmosphere becomes very raw and industrial playing off the structural components helps create a feel much different than your classic art gallery. This makes the art show feel more approachable to the everyday person or someone who may feel intimidated by a traditional gallery setting.

With this latest show, we had some Downtown Fargo favorites providing refreshments. We had beer provided by Drekker Brewing and cider/wine provided by Wild Terra. The neighbors to the show, Fryn’ Pan provided fruit and veggie trays as well as pot-stickers and a variety of sandwiches.

EPIC Events plans to continue bringing new art events and experiences to the area which includes a current project with one of the other show sponsors, Office Sign Company, where they will be installing a vinyl mural to the outside of the Gateway building.

Thank you to all that attended, we can’t wait to see you next year!!
